Overview
The McLaren Senna, named after the legendary Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna, is designed with a single purpose – to be the ultimate McLaren track-concentrated car for the street. Part of the Ultimate Series, the Senna embodies McLaren's "form follows function" design philosophy.
The Aerodynamic Design
Its exterior appears almost like an alien spacecraft, chock-full of scoops, wings, fins and vents that have each been meticulously sculpted to manipulate and exploit the airflow around and through the car for optimum downforce and cooling.
Masterful Engineering
The heart of the Senna is a 4.0L M840TR twin-turbo V8 engine. It is McLaren's most powerful internal combustion engine ever made for a road car. The engine provides an exhilarating acceleration, taking the car from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
Performance
Effortlessly marrying performance and style, the Senna has a top speed of 335 km/h. It manages to keep the weight down to 1360kg, thanks to the use of materials like carbon fiber and Alcantara. It is also equipped with a race-inspired double-wishbone suspension.
Inside the Cockpit
The minimalist, competition-oriented interior is bespoke with customizable options. Every element is designed to save weight, such as the stiff carbon-fiber racing seats and the streamlined centre console.
Legacy
The McLaren Senna is more than a car. It is a tribute to the legacy of Ayrton Senna, arguably the greatest driver in the history of Formula 1. The Senna enshrines his winning spirit and relentless pursuit of perfection.
Production and Availability
Only 500 units of the McLaren Senna were ever made. Each one was hand-assembled in Woking, Surrey, in England in 2018 and 2019, making it a limited edition marvel.
